December 29, 200421 yr I know that FS9 has textures for both winter and hard winter. I was just wondering, while sitting here eating my lunch, how FS knows which ones to use at any particular point in time. Or is it that some areas will always show winter textures whilst others will always show hard winter textures?Victor
December 29, 200421 yr I believe seasonal change is governed by combining the time of year(date) with the latitude(coordinate) of location.
December 29, 200421 yr And the funny thing, when setting the weather to snow in Africa, winter textures will start to pop up :)Gerrit Gerrit
December 29, 200421 yr >I believe seasonal change is governed by combining the time>of year(date) with the latitude(coordinate) of location.Ok thanks for that. So, for example, textures in northern Scandinavia may show as "hard winter" but textures in southern Germany may show "winter" on the same date.
December 29, 200421 yr I believe that's correct. This is in contrast to older versions of FS in which seasonal change depended solely upon the equinox dates with no attention or consideration of latitude.
