Since reinstalling latest build 29 I've been having problems with dx10 fixer, at start-up  it gives me legacy message even though nothing has been changed, and if I try to install libraries I get messages that certain effects have not been found. Please help

The first thing to mention is that there is a support forum in the commercial section which I monitor more closely that this one.

The first message is just a warning. On startup the controller checks that the bkg.bmp is the correct size. This file is only installed when you install the libraries, however the check is disabled until the libraries have been installed. However there are ways that this logic can fail, e.g if the previous version wasn't uninstalled from control panel, or if the library install fails part way though ( which may be the case here)

The effects error is very puzzling indeed. It scans the effect directory and then processes each effect in turn. Error 2 is file not found. Can you tell me the full path of the fsx directory?

I would suggest uninstalling DX10SF from control panel.

Then install again

Then install the libraries without ticking effects

That should get the libraries installed and deal with the first error, then we can look at effects more closely
