Hi all, AVSIM newbie here. Just been reunited with FS thanks to a new PC that can actually handle it, and I want to get the best from it.I have bought VFR Photographic Scenery Vols 1-3 already, will probably go for the VFR terrain upgrade soon too, but wanted to know (and I've tried to search for this, but with little luck in over half an hour so far) if there were any items that you experts considered to be 'must have' downloads from the library. Any good aircraft (light singles for now) that make good alternatives, general scenery enhancements, other add-ons etc. I'm just sticking to the UK for now, before spreading my wings too far.Hope this isn't a typical newbie 'here we go again question'... Thanks in advance.

Suggest you go to Realairsimulations.com and download the free C172.That at least gives you a better GA single to fly.If you want to add a nice fun plane... get Rick Piper's Chipmunk! There's two for you!Enjoy..

Two more that I recommend...FS Sky World 2004. It will change the skies you sim in. Another brilliant work from Chris Willis and FSW.FSAutostart is a powerful tool for starting the sim (and any add-on apps such as on-line weather) while at the same time minimizing the number of services and programs running during simming. A must have for any gamer (it can be used to configure the system for any of your favorite games). Both are freeware and available here in the Avsim Library.Cheers,Greg
