ASN + REX Direct 4 = Cloud grids comparison pics inc

Featured Replies

hello everyone

so i purchased ASN and i love the work it does

i also have Rex Direct 4 and also like that

however when i fly high in the tubes 20'000 - 40'000 feet, i get these lame cloud grids

i've troubleshot everything

i've adjusted my minimum and maximum cloud draw. matched em ect ect you name it

cant shake these grids

i have a thread over at the ASN forums and they asked for the following pics

what i did was find bad weather, jumped in the NGX and flew up to 20'000 sure enough there are the grids

so i saved the flight

jumped out restored my default Rex OD textures from within Rex DIRECT.

reloaded the flight and noticed the grids were not AS BAD but still visible if you look hard

jumped back out and turned off ASN and reloaded. cant really see much of anything

i'm positive that the combination of ASN and REX are causing these annoying grids. i never got them before ASN

have a look

any ideas? anyone else having this issue?

I think those square cloud formations just an issue with ASN at the moment, I've encountered them myself with Rex Essentials too.

I'm sure Hifi will do whatever they can to get rid of them in future patches.

Square clouds effect was the main reason I skipped ASN until now after testing.

they did respond on the other thread and said that they are beta testing a solution for the clouds,

so at least they are aware and working on it

Thanks

That's good news JHo. If they get rid of the problem, I will upgrade to ASN.
