December 28, 201312 yr Tried flying one of my favourite freeware aircraft, the Dassault 50 last night and for some reason the VC cockpit is partly transparent and so is some of the aircraft in spot view :( Uninstalled and reinstalled DX10fixer but didn't make any difference. Works fine in DX9 mode but that's not the point.. See below. Any way to fix this? Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. December 28, 201312 yr Commercial Member Vonstronheim and ncooper are the guys to ask http://forum.avsim.net/topic/424509-fs9-portovers-in-fsxdx10-with-steve-fixer/?fromsearch=1 For the vc view I would guess its 8 bit textures, temporarily enable 8 bit fix ( but don't leave it on as it will wreck loads of things) if that is ok then use dx10toolbox to fix 8 bit textures it's in the manual near the end. The spot view may be fixed by setting legacy slider to position 5 if so you can tag the aircraft with dx10toolbox and it will then be ok at position 3 Alternatively you can strip the alpha channel for the textures, but that's getting complicated to do. December 28, 201312 yr Author Thanks Steve the Toolbox fixed the VC and exterior textures. Only thing I've noticed now is a strange black mottling on the transparent bits (see pic). Any idea what that is? If it's not fixable it's not a deal breaker, but the Falcon 50 is a great looking aircraft seeing it was released over a decade ago. December 29, 201312 yr Commercial Member It's hard to see a lot from the photo, it could perhaps be alpha bloom, try reducing the alpha bloom slider to 25% My FSX Analysis Blog

Luckily Nick on the other thread sent me a new bmp which solved the transparency problem so all sorted now! Regards Adam Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM.
