December 31, 201312 yr I was just curious what people use as far as zoom levels go for the VC? I use ezdok and I think it's set to about .60 zoom just curious if there is like a universally suggested zoom level to try. Also I just noticed something since I don't do many night flights I haven't run into this before. The landing lights on my plane don't illuminate the ground. I had every light possible on so it wasn't that I didn't switch them on. I was also using the PMDG 737. I am using REX+OD, FTX Global, UTX. Is there a tweak or perhaps I disabled something by accident I should check? Or in the CFG is there something I should look for that maybe isn't there or something that I might need to add?
December 31, 201312 yr As far as zoom levels go, users would probably set them according to aircraft type, visual ability, and any other preferences. I set my VC to .70 for the sake of ease of reading the instruments and then match the 2D cockpit zoom to a similar view I get in VC. In that way, when I switch views, there isn't a great change in viewing distance. Therefore I set 2D at 1.50. Can't help you with the landing lights illuminating the ground, except stating the obvious: check your Aircraft Settings in FSX. Chris
December 31, 201312 yr I used to have it set somewhere between .5 and .7 in VC view, depending a bit on the predefined viewpoint of the respective aircraft. However, since I installed Ezdok, I hardly ever touch the zoom buttons in VC, I just use the set value and if I need a closer look, moving around is a lot easier than zooming now. Florian
