December 31, 201312 yr The NGX has now caused three app hangs in FSX since it was installed a week ago. They have all been mid flight. The screen freezes but the mouse can still be moved, and the first two times the application unfroze after it was left a few minutes but this most recent one didn't unfreeze at all and after 15 minutes of waiting i decided to switch out of the application to the desktop and back into FSX. My desktop background turned to black and i could use my PC but only the taskbar portion of the screen was responsive. I could then not switch back into FSX. All during this time I could hear the sim and the sound coming from the NGX, and from what i could hear it was still running because the engines were spooling up and down. I just couldn't interact. What caused this instance of the app hanging was when I was using the FMC in the VC but enlarged as the 2D panel of the FMC, i was trying to enter a hold which worked, but as i tried to delete it it started to not understand what the delete function meant, at this point it was still all responding but the FMC wouldn't delete the hold. A few minutes later when i was trying to enter a new hold at the same waypoint but with a different inbound, it froze clicking the LSK. My FSX install is only a week old, the only addon i have is the PMDG NGX and if it makes any difference it keeps telling me my navdata is out of date. Please help. James Bennett
December 31, 201312 yr Have you tried the UIAutomationCore fix? Google this. This has happened to me as well (almost exactly as you describe) and I think this fixed it. Also maybe look at you memory settings. Custom page file. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
December 31, 201312 yr Author Have you tried the UIAutomationCore fix? Google this. This has happened to me as well (almost exactly as you describe) and I think this fixed it. Also maybe look at you memory settings. Custom page file. I'll have a look at the fix. Glad to see it worked for you. As far as custom page file i've already set custom page file of 3072 and 3072 initial and max. James Bennett
