  1. Ok cool...I couldn't get your video to work btw.. I would like to know more about this as well.
  2. It might sound daft...but are you sure you haven't just got the auto rudder left on in the flight sim settings....both p3d and fsx have it. I have found by mistake that leaving this on can make it very hard to land?
  3. Long state. Watch out for doors left open.
  4. Thank you yes I realised, in the shower the obvious answer to this. After a good nights sleep, it seems obvious now. I was just practicing circuits and tracking the 112.15 VOR at EGJJ. I was doing things different to normal. The A/T stays on which was probably what I was mixing up to the CMD.
  5. The trim button disconnects CMD A, yet I can't see any assignments under the controls., in the p3d control settings. It has only just started doing this, but I am not sure why? Is this something I'm doing wrong with the NGX, or p3d? Many thanks Jools
  6. I think you are still meant to land in the touchdown markings. But I think you can use the displaced area for take off. More of a general aviation question than PMDG.
  7. It's really good when it works. That's the trouble with flight sim. You need a plug-in to make the cameras work they way they're meant to. I wish it was default.
  8. https://s32.postimg.org/3r23edph1/13906883_10153621604127016_2616599571460570223_n.jpg I got it today...I'm pretty delighted with it. Btw no need to improvise, those screws on the top of your Saitek Yoke are there for a reason. I can still see the result of the PMDG radio stack changing without having to use it in flight. It works really well as it would with any addon.
  9. Ok look into this, or possibily improvise. There mut be an additional frame work that saitek do?
  10. Thanks... I had to fly the plane and I couldn't just turn up on her runway without saying hello. So this radio stack looks like a box basically. I just have a desk. How to you make it rigid like the pro yoke. Is it a g-clamp of some sort?
  11. Good point. Fly first and explain later. I guess 'get-there-itis' is a condition that flight simmers can often get more easily. Part of the problem I think. :Money Eyes:
  12. Cool great, Ok this is what happened. I manged to get onto the localiser at EGSS, clear weather must of been about 7 miles out, and I thought to myself, speed is good, flaps were about 5 at this stage at about 170K, then slow to 160K by 5 DME. Reported localiser established to Essex radar 120.62, and then they asked me to report to tower 123.80. However unfortunatly I was now hand flying without the A/P, but didn't arm tower 123.80 on stand-by (my fault). I was planning to hand fly the localiser. So I had to pan down to the radio stack and put the frequency in. I started to panic by this stage and found it hard to put the frequency in using the dial to tune. (The dial split into two, the upper half and lower half.) By then I was too late and was starting to get too high to land. So I didn't want to land without permission. So just went around and flew the runway heading cleaned up then put the CMD A on and swaped the comm 1, to go back onto Essex radar. By then I had a bit more time to put in the tower frequency. I could get vectored again and do a safe landing. I know flying IFR solo isn't really what is done in a 737. I did try the first FS2Crew, and you could commard with your voice the comms and navs. But I found it a bit buggy, or if you made a slight mistake, you would confuse the first officer. I found that I was relying too much on him and not learning about the airplane enough. So I stopped using it. Maybe it is better now? I understand there is a newer version, which is a lot more comprehensive, and you can omit some off his responibilities.FS2Crew V2 (or what ever it is called)? So I did remember the saying Aviate, Navigate, Communicate. I did try and sneak the frequency in and it didn't really help my cause. But I went around and didn't want to land without permission. I think I may well buy the Radio stack, it would help a lot. Thanks 777cap and Simbio for your advice.
  13. I find that the soley 3d cockpit is brilliant, but it is very hard selecting a radio comm. You have to admit the comm1 2,nav1 2,are a bit fidderly to use.It makes online ATC very challenging. I ended up missing a approach, and getting very distracted by the having to select the radio. Even the close up radio view, is difficult to use. Has anyone used the Saitek pro radio stack, low and behold it has all the radio comms and nav frequences? And even Adf. Does this work well with the PMDG NGX? How does it plug into the pc? if people think it is ok i might get it tonight? Thanks jools
  14. Thank you, I will have a look when i get a moment.
  15. Ok I might give this a go another time. I could not remember where the exe.xml was, I looked in the LM root but didn't see it in there.
  16. Ok I got it going again. The login seems a bit hit and miss, but works a lot better with the key method. My virus software is a real problem, I had to uninstall it because eventhough I selected everything related to EZCA in the exclusion, it still didn't work. When i did get it running, I tried installing outside of Program Files (86x) but it wouldn't show up in the add-ons. So I just had to stick with the default location. I saved my cameras as you said and all is back to normal. Thank you very very very much!
  17. When it says I have been sent a key is this different to a login with the email and the login password? Were is this key is it something that gets sent to me? EDIT: Ok I have seen that you have to get it sent to you. It is asking for a 'order password' how many digits is this?
  18. I tried to re-install it but that wrapper thing didn't work when I very obviously put the right details in. Firewall off. Then it said to many logins. So have to wait 12 hour for it to work. That method of installation is very frustrating. There is no-one there at flight1 to get things going.
  19. Ok Thank you for this. BTW it has beem really good for weeks, no problems at all. The only thing I have tweaked is the head movment as it was a bit too much.
  20. I had a simular thing happened....since there doesn't seem to be a EZCA form on AVSIM, I had to post in forum P3D, as this seems to be where a lot of EZCA questions get asked. But not had any feed back yet. http://www.avsim.com/topic/492270-p3d-crashing-on-final-approach/
  21. I haven't really used default ATC for a while but from what I remember it isn't intellegent. For me...you have to start with the METAR/TAFS , even if they are not perfect. If the prediction isn't as forcast you have to go ground, or change your runway when you get there. Or ATC on VATSIM or IVAO will change the runway for you. I use ASN, but also just google metar EGLL for example. If there is no control at your airfield, the main rule is to try and land into wind, even if it is a cross wind, but only slightly favors a particular runway. This gets tricky when an established pattern is in operation, if artifical traffic or real people. Someone at some stage has to say , 'ok the wind has changed, should we be coming into this runway?' If I feel it could be a variable wind landing you could consider the alternate airfileld, which might have a more favorable wind component. It depends on the 'Get-there-itis' factor or 'I need to get to bed-itis' factor. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/get-there-itis On the PMDG you do get the wind vector arrow, which is good at a glance.
  22. Btw way I can not control the formating of these quotes very well. Just Trying to return a new paragraph in the right place isn't working. I will try an type in this space. I can not type before or after the quotes. Hence why it is in the middle. P3D 3.2.316769, crashes later on in the flight, and tonight it crashed on final or what was a very good flight. I have tried to find the errors and these are the only ones i could find. I don't know what it all means but, any advice would be appreciated. Best regards Jools
  23. Thank you very much.
  24. I discovered by mistake, what the problem was when looking at the realisim settings in P3D. It was just that auto rudder was on. I am pretty sure you are not meant to fly with this on.
  25. Eddok for P3d has been working well, however in the PMDG NGX cockpit the main camera is too low, so that the control is in the way of the of the artifical horison. Also when flairing on landing, I can not see too well out of the window. Why won't NUM2 to work? Is there another way to edit the camera? Or is there another camera for the PIC of this AC, a taller pilot, who can see out the front? Many thanks Jools
