Please help! Something wrong with my aircrafts

Featured Replies

I choose my flight plan, aircraft, weather etc, then I press 'fly now', but when I get to my aircraft, rather than it starting like normal - autopilot off and all on 0, normal simulation rate, parking break on etc,

instead mine now has:

  • autopilot on
  • altimeter and heading hold buttons on
  • altimeter at 26000
  • heading at 290
  • the altimeter is wrong (normally it says a low number on the altimeter as we are on the ground, but now it is saying I am at 400, and when I move it back it says "your altimeter is set incorrectly'.
  • All the lights are switched on and flashing like crazy
  • simulation speed at x4.

Any idea what is going on? Did I accidentally press a button that can be turned off? Should I uninstall and reinstall?

Thanks again,

Try setting your default aircraft as you want it to be then save as default. next time you load an aircraft it should be whatever you set it as with the default aircraft.

Sounds like you either had a crash, saved a flight, or closed FS with those autopilot settings previously. All you need to do is open UI generated flightt.FLT or/and Previous flight.FLT in My Documents\Flight Simulator Files folder, scroll down to the [AutoPilot.0] section (should be near the bottom), and change the settings to what condition you want them to be in. Same thing for the lights, they are in the [switches.0] section. For the altimeter setting mine is usually KollsmanSetting=29.919628143310547 in the [Gauges.0] section. The simulation rate is near the top in the [Options] section, SimSpeed=001.00 .

These two flight plan files load the aircraft in the condition stored there.

    Hope this helps,
