ASN and PMDG 777 Settings....

Recommended Posts

Has ASN rectified the dreaded S-Turn behavior with Autopilot?

What settings are best with Active Sky Next and the 777 to avoid issues?

Thanks!

You won't need any special settings to work with the PMDG products. ASN is very nice in that you don't have to worry about things like this anymore :)  (well, there's always a small minority that might run into issues, but for the most part ASN is trouble-free)

Yes there is no S-Turn issues using ASN with the T7 or NGX. This was also pretty much rectified in ASN as well when using DWC.

Not much to do. I run stock settings but reduced the cloud layer max to 4 layers, checked wind lock at destination airport, unchecked the option to make scattered clouds always 8/8.

Just make sure if you're using FSUIPC to turn off any weather settings in it, like wind smoothing and stuff like that. Also depending on what version of FSUIPC you are using, you may need to upgrade to the latest FSUIPC module available at Pete's site. More info on that stuff is available at the Hifisim forum.
