gloss reduction on aircraft how to

Featured Replies

Hi all-

I've reestablished a flying relationship with the Eaglesoft Citation X and forgot how glossy the exterior model is. Is there a way to reduce this via one of the dds files in the texture folder or....?

Thanks,

Mark

Check our forums as we don't do product support at Avsim... B)

I'll be happy to do that although this wasn't a support question, per se.

I'll leave it here for those who may be able to help, substituting 'any aircraft' for 'Eaglesoft Citation X'

Thanks,

Mark

No problem, here's the answer from our place...

Using DXT BMP export the alpha to your paint program of choice and lighten the grey tones then reassemble the mess....

Could have but didn't..left it here for others who may not know that apha controls gloss....
