Also remember that the site was called fsfreeware before Raimundo started to have to ask for money in order to pay the bills...At that time noone complained and I guess noone asked if they could help out.

John, you may not remember but one addon maker tried the donation route. He got a grand total of

Well, I guess I am on my own on this one, and out of my league. I apologize to anyone I may have offended, but I still maintain that Raimondo consider a name change, so as to not tarnish the concept of "freeware" in the minds of people newer to the hobby than we. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how popular it may or may not be, but mine is that the name of the website acts as a lure to people who don't have the same budget for Flight Sim as those who eagerly plunk down their cash for the latest and greatest payware addons. Once loaded, the site presents the hapless surfer with some previews of upcoming sceneries-- in this case, the waters packages. There is no mention of whether the products are freeware or payware. Based on the site name, our hapless surfer would assume it's freeware. Click the "waters" link on the left, and the next page that loads is a storefront, with products and prices. WTH? I thought this was a freeware site! I was the hapless surfer at one time, and made the decision that if I ever purchased an addon, it wouldn't be from them. I hate Bait and Switch tactics, and IMHO, that's what FSFreeware does with it's name. That IS my opinion, and I respectfully submit it without apology.EDIT, in reply to msg #16 by Jeroen: Trust me, I DO understand the economics behind hardware, software, bandwidth, and manpower costs. I wouldn't have the problem that I have if there was a disclaimer on the main page of FSFreeware in a highly visible location that the site was primarily a payware site. I still would think it odd that the name says "Freeware", but since the proverbial arse was covered, I wouldn't have experienced the frustration that I described above.
