January 22, 201412 yr I'm fairly new to ORBX, having spent many years with FS9, then when I had a new computer built I dabbled with FSX, primarily with UK photo scenery, UK2000 etc. I now have the whole ORBX package for NA including some custom airports (KJAC etc) but it's disappointing to see so many large airports (Anchorage etc.) empty of commercial aircraft. I've Googled, searched forums as to the reason for this to no avail, where as I have FS9 airports teeming with aircraft, ORBX airports are not. I have read that World of AI wont work in FSX without some sort of tweaks, so I assume the same goes for ORBX. I and I'm sure others would appreciate any advice that would help populate the empty gates. I have the ORBX GA AI installed , that works OK. I do not have any payware commercial AI installed, reviews don't seem to recommend it ! Regards Echofox (north of egnh)
January 31, 201412 yr I have Ultimate Traffic 2 and it really made the world alive! WOAI AC will work in FSX as long as you stay in DX9 mode, IIRC. WOAI is free but a little time consuming manually addedevery AC/Airline and AI Flightplans (Flightplans have to be converted from FS9 to FSX). I've since turned into an AI junkie and have a mix of both WOAI, MAIW, and UT2 traffic! Good luck! Chris Camp
February 1, 201412 yr Author Thanks for your reply, I have gone down the same route as you and now have a scenario of very busy airports. WOAI works perfectly well in my FSX , I only fly USA/Canada ,UK and Europe so can afford to populate with smaller airlines and GA. Could do with some Florida weather here in the UK !!! Cheers Echofox
February 1, 201412 yr No Problem... Also I highly recommend the HTAI Cessna AI models pack... It really puts a ton of varied AI GA into FSX. BE aware though, some older add-on airports will make these FS9 AC invisible if you have AC ground shadows enabled around these particular AP's. I have this issue at FSDT KFLL. Chris Camp
February 2, 201412 yr Another AI must have is the GA Traffic program here in the library. It will create a traffic file for all airports with GA parking. Just remember to use only AI specific aircraft like HTAI. Formerly Coneman - 900+ ___________________________________________________________ If one ignores the lack of undercarriage, it's actually quite a nice landing.
