Hi Peter, just checked my installation of Frankfurt v8 and all looks OK. I also installed the optional Photo Scenery, but I don't know if this would make any difference. If you used the auto install it maybe worth a try to uninstall the add-on and do a search for anything with EDDF in the name and re-installing V8 manually. I sometimes have done this by creating a folder on the desktop and installing to that first. There are so many add-ons and with all due respect to the authors, I like to check the contents, I can recommend Mark Aldridge's work, maybe you could contact him. Hope you find an answer. Ioli System Mechanic certainly improves running my FSX even given my computer is fast. . Run it before starting FSX and the start time is much quicker, probably due to cleaning out all the junk files. I have this program on five computers, These programs are a personable choice, some have try before buy which is a good way to experiment. Echofox

Never had "NAME " in Scenery Library unless reference is to Eastern North America which should be ticked. I'm sure you know this, so apologies !!! Echofox

I run - CYYZ2007 Toronto Pearson International Airport for FS2004 Freeware - in FSX with no known problems. It's available in FS 2004 downloads, worth a try , install exe, to ROOT FSX folder, it will find the Addon Scenery folder and then install to the Scenery Library in the usual way. The root folder will have a Flight Ontario folder which only contains two cfg files which can be ignored. Full pdf comes with the download. Hopefully it may also work for you. Echofox

Jim, you are correct, SP2 should be uninstalled before installing Acceleration, I did this and everything works fine. Should be noted that some add-on aircraft etc require Acceleration, they will not work with just SP1 & 2. I would advise cgw4 to be wary should a used copy be found as I believe that the licence is limited to the number of computers it can be installed on, also the price vendors are asking should you find one may feel like daylight robbery but that's the crunch unfortunately ! Hi Josh, looks like your having no luck with this, I get the same problem now and then, don't know the cause. Have found changing the aircraft in flight then back to original restored the zoom but it may just be luck . I don't believe we are the only two to experience this, maybe someone else will provide an answer. Regards, Echofox

Like Bert I'm staying with 7, have read that 10 has no advantage and that it was developed more for media and gaming as in shoot em type games. Looking at commercial FS add-ons like scenery and aircraft the specs rarely mention 10 but as I have not read anything about this I can only assume they work on 10, although as mentioned above there could be issues with controllers such as Saitek. I have a basic install of FSX on a laptop running 10 with some add on scenery which seems to work (using a Microsoft joystick), but the system isn't powerful enough to run a complicated install. I have never been inclined to fix anything that works, so wont be making a move to 10. Happy Christmas Echofox

I read a past post saying Windows 10 held no advantage to 7 regarding FSX, seems the whole thing is directed to social media type programs and possibly games made for 10. FSX is not a fast shoot'em car chase type program and runs perfectly well on 7 providing you have a computer to suit. I definitly wont be upgrading my dedicated rig to 10, quite content with 7. I have just installed 10 on a spare laptop which had FS9 installed, it doesn't work anymore, so if you also have FS9 installed beware if you convert. Echofox

Does this aircraft require Acceleration installed. I had the same problems with some Just Flight planes but when I installed Acceleration they appeared and work perfectly. Echofox

Do you have to have ORBX Global installed for the freeware airports to work, or can they be installed as stand alone's. I have all ORBX west coast USA installed which doesn't cover southern California as yet. Echofox

John, thanks for your help, will order FSGU Americas tomorrow, reading all their info etc., I'm sure you are right,does look better than FSG. Hope you are not badly affected by the water problem in your part of the world. Regards Grant Gordon
