I downloaded Plan G. When I fire up FSX , I noticed it's not in my drop down. I have to go to window mode to see it and even then the only way is to click on the icon in my task bar. When the map is minimized I can't unpause the sim. I would like to see the map minimized while I'm flying . Is that even possible ?

As far as I know Plan G does not install a drop down in FSX menu.  It is designed to run separately, either connected or not to FSX.

 

Under View menu you can switch to "always on top" so that you can see it always, and then resize the window to whatever works for you.

 

Also, most flyers using this probably have two or more monitors, like I do, I just move Plan G so that it runs on my second monitor and I always see it, can program it, turn it on an off as necessary. 

 

I don't understand the minimized issue.  I can minimize my Plan G no issue.  Perhaps go into FSX and turn off the feature that pauses the sim when switching tasks, I can't remember which menu it's under but it's there somewhere.
