January 31, 201412 yr New member, long time MSFS user, just switched to XPX having purchased a 27" iMAC. When I create a flight and am sitting on the runway in forward view I see very little of the aircraft instrument panel. It makes it impossible to fly. I'm ZOOMED back as far as I can, so I don't know what else to do to set up my cockpit view correctly. Thanks in advance. Tom
January 31, 201412 yr Go to "Settings"->"Rendering Options" and increase the "Lateral Field Of View" value. This sets the minimum achievable zoom value. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

January 31, 201412 yr Some aircraft designers recommend a specific settings for their aircrafts, but in general the preferred setting is subjective. If you frequently zoom in and out, the best thing is to put it at a large value (e.g. 90 or 120 degrees) so you have a large range of zoom values to use. Even planes from the same developer will usually require you to reset the view to your comfort level. Donald E. Donovan Flying is the 2nd greatest thrill known to man The 1st is landing.
