February 1, 201412 yr Hi I have a problem when trying to install VOXAtc 6.20 for Prepar3d v2 (Addons Rex and FTX). When running the setup.exe and the indexing part comes up, suddenly it just stops. I can see from the directory that VOXAtc is looking at a non existing path (See attached image). I've tried to abort it and running the indexer afterwards, uninstalling and re-installing. Nothing works. Anyone know of this problem or a workaround? (Btw, for now its just the demo install. Need to make sure it works before buying obviously ) Any help would be greatly appreciated!
February 2, 201412 yr Hi, exact problem here. I have the full version 6.2. We will have to wait for an update either with LM or Vox.
February 2, 201412 yr Author Ah thanks diddy64, good to know I'm not the only one with this problem. I'd appreaciate if you could post it here when you either figure it out or get a working update. I'll do the same.
February 3, 201412 yr Author Update: Received a reply from Tegwyn regarding this issue: *********************************** HelloThe current version of P3D V2 can corrupt flight plans when loaded. AsVoxATC refers to the flight plan files, this can prevent VoxATC fromworking properly.Lockheed-Martin say they are fixing this and should have a new versionout by the end of January.Shortly after that a new version of VoxATC will be released that workswith P3D V2. This will be a free upgrade for existing VoxATC users.RegardsTegwyn West ************************************ Appears LM is coming out with an update patch this week, check this forum thread: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=4373
February 12, 201412 yr LM have kept their side of the bargain(patch out), its with Voxatc folks to do their magic.
February 28, 201412 yr In the meantime, the following worked for me: Change the registry key (or create it if you don't have FSX installed): [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0] SetupPath=D:\FSX\ changing the path to whatever your P3Dv2 installation path is then run "simulatorselection.exe" from the VoxATC folder and select FSX. The indexer should run again and complete. If it's already set to FSX, then close it just run the indexer. Once indexing is complete, change the registry key back. (The Wow6432Node will only be there if you're running 64-bit).
March 22, 201412 yr One thing I noticed Aplomo is that you have P3D installed in your Programfiles (x86) directory. Could that be an issue as well. That directory has known permission issues.I installed the current version of VoxATC with P3D2.1 + hotfix with no issues. Michael
