Current monitor 24in Samsung 20,000-1. 24in with WIN7,64 bit. FSX.

Never had twin monitors before. Is the combo above suitable.

If so, anyone recommend a screen and setup?

I cannot get my setups for views to SAVE dependably yet. More later.

Yes, adding another 24" (?) to that will work.

How do you intend to use them simulator wise (FSX?)?

What video card? Edit- Just noticed it says GT680 in a little box at the top :-)

The multi-screen setups vary I think.

I just use a completely different 19" monitor to display ATC, GPS, Nav Stack, Autopilot etc which works well, but am thinking of getting a second 24" for a true split screen instead, so am interested in answers also!

As per-FSX displays mentioned by Keith; is it possible to display a third party planner "eg: Plan G or moving map on the second screen?

It is but you will have to run FSX in Windowed Mode.

In FullScreen Mode FSX will run both monitors in that mode, so the only things

you can use on it will be the normal things that show up on a single monitor running

in FullScreen.

I have an AMD 7800 and want to put different windows into different screens. I cannot figure out how to SAVE the placements.

Often times I end up with views over views on the left screen and black on the right!

Is there a dependable way to save the placement/layout in FSX?

TIA.

PS. Please let me know if I should start a different thread for this.
