February 10, 201412 yr I have noticed that at some airports as I approach the turn on to the localizer heading and I engage APP mode, the APP heading selected using the AFCS knob jumps 1 or 2 degrees and cannot be corrected back to the procedure published heading. And this is at variance with the procedure heading displayed on the CDU. I can't find anything in the manuals on this. The result is that in APP mode the aircraft is not aligned with the runway heading. Anybody seen this??? Thanks

February 10, 201412 yr Author What is your setting on the PMDG Setup > Simulation page for "SET FSX LOC CRS"? Good catch and thanks for getting back. That parameter is set to "On", which is probably the correct setting. What I am accustomed to seeing on Boeing APs is that the CRS indexes to the procedure heading when APP mode locks on to the localizer. What is happening here is that it is indexing to a CRS which is not reflected in the CDU page, and in fact not the runway heading as shown on the FS X Map page for that runway. In any case, I changed the parameter to "Off" which hopefully will allow me to manually set the CRS shown on the CDU before localizer capture, which I prefer in any case. Thoughts?

This would allow you to change it, yes. The FMC will show the data from your navdata provider, which is current to the RW, not FSX. With the setting ON, it should be indexing to the FSX course that you'd see on the map, though it may not be because of a registry error (weird, I know). Google Flight1 registry repair tool. Run it as an admin. Check the result. Kyle Rodgers
