February 10, 201412 yr I found this on avsim. I know the specs are pretty bad, but I only want to use it to run Aivlasoft's EFB, PFPX, & TOPCAT. Would this computer run those? I would network it to my current PC that has FSX on it. The only thing that concerns me is the CPU. http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-IdeaCentre-19-5-Inch-Desktop-57323425/dp/B00HLVTBVA/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1392074539&sr=8-10&keywords=all+in+one+computer#productDetails Thanks, Rob Robert Schumacher My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.
February 16, 201412 yr Hello if you're going to use your PC for these programs mainly then you're better of purchasing a laptop (its what i use for the exact same programs ). cause its smaller and more powerful than the pc you have in the link . this is my recommendation although it has photos of win8 running on it . it says in the description that it comes with win7 pre-installed ( which is better IMO for these types of programs ) . http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-3537/pd?oc=fncwc2405sw7&model_id=inspiron-15-3537 Faisal Altheyab
February 16, 201412 yr Moderator Having tried EFB on a laptop with a 1366*768 display I found the display too small for the Approach screen. I switched to a 2nd PC with a 1280*1024 display and it was perfect. I think that's the recommended res for EFB anyway. That PC with its 1600*900 display may just be a bit tight to show EFB at its best. Ray (Cheshire, England).
