Numbers 1,2,3,4,5 etc for different views.

Use mouse to change view in 3d cockpit.  Use arrows in 2d cockpit :D

If  no more informative respond comes till evening (it is 9 am here)  i ll try to post screenshot for more information.

I was out of the city, (in construction site) so i cannot able to see your respond and reply it. really sorry for that. I think you have already solved your problem but i am going to write it here so that another user can benefit from it in the future.

NOTE: I am really sorry i did not see that you are using MAC. I am pc user.  So i ll write PC controls.

- In PC Change view = Shift + X (X is number 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc.)

- Default my X-plane start at 2D Cockpit so i use SHIFT + 9 to change view into 3D cockpit.

- By using right click i move my view. (you do not have right click on mac what i remember, i really do not know. Mac's are not popular in Turkey around me except some editors :) )

- Arrow keys move camera right, left, up, down in both 2D & 3D

Now about the keys menu, i think all setup menu are the same in all platforms.

- Move the mouse on top of the screen select "SETTINGS"

- Then select Jostick & Equipment

- From the menu select the "KEYS" tab.

- Browse through the menu on the left.

- You will see smthing like  "view/circle" "view/tower" "view/****" etc etc.  those are the keys for your change view command

- If you dont like those buttons you can change them. One click on the button and click desired key then click on the button again to deselect it.

- If you want to assign new keys or jostick buttons you can add new keys. (For Keyboard keys use same menu, for jostcik use Buttons Advanced menu)

- For keyboard when you click "Add new key assignment" on the middle bottom of the screen,X-plane creates a button on the bottom of the left list as <NONE> (means no assignment). When you click on it, you will see a lot of selections.

- For different camera views  select "view/" on the middle list.

- To move the camera up, down, left, right or Zoom in, Zoom Out, you need to click on "general/" in the middle section.

In my opinion it is better for you to test all options so you can find best suitable selections. Now i use both keyboard and YOKE buttons for different assignments which i can zoom in-out, move camea left right etc.

I am an ex FSX user. At first X-Plane config was pain in the ***  but now i ask myself why FSX made it much much worse to change view or something.

NOTE: There was a problem i think i could not able to take SS from the setup menu. I hope only explanations can help anyone who requires aid at this topic. If requested i ll try to record a video in a free time to aid people what i know. I am not expert on X-plane but i ll be happy to share what i know :D

..that helps....

If you are X FSX guy you probably know how to get the sound to the Headset, remember, on FSX when you go to setting/sound you can keep the Engine sound on External Speakers & Cockpit/Voice snd to the headset, how do you do it in X-Plane ?

Cheers
