does some of you knows the default setting in the FSX.cfg file for the "turbulencescale"? I have this in 0.500000 as a recommendation of Active Sky 2012 for using PMDG products. I have bought ASN and now the problem should be solved.

It doesn't matter what weather related settings you have in your fsx.cfg ASN will override it. The only setting ASN doesn't ignore is the cloud density slider, if you have that at anything less than maximum then cloud depiction wont look as designed.

I think Andydigital is correct, the setting is now ignored.  However, the default setting in the FSX.cfg is 1.00000.  I also learned (from the ASN manual) that it overrides any weather options in FSUIPC, so anything you had set there for AS2012 is meaningless too.
