Converting FSX/FS9 livery textures for use with P3D?

Featured Replies

Hi all -- I'm getting a blank (black) aircraft -- I think it may have to do with using DX10/11 with P3D

Is there anyway to use your FS9/FSX textures with P3D 2.1?

Thanks.

I mean this in the nicest way, but as far as I am concerned, if anything to do with FS9 does not work then surely that has to be a good thing? Backwards compatibility is and always has held the sim back. If it doesn't work, wait for it to be upgraded or find an alternative.

Most all FSX aircraft will work in Prepar3d. In fact you can move any FSX default aircarft files over as i did withe the Cessna 172 and it works fine.  If the aircraft you are attempting to use employ installers then  you need to use a Migration Tool to have them work in P3D

It's a freeware aircraft (which works) but a certain livery which I have downloaded. I doubt it will be updated.
