What Happened to my airport

Featured Replies

It appears that when I do a longer flight, say about 2 hours long, my arrival airport has pieces missing. I didn't have this problem before I installed 777 so I was wondering what I could do to fix it. Basically it is things like terminals, sometimes some of the gateways are missing sometimes it parts of my airplane, not sure why this is happening, any help would be good.

Is this taking place at add on airports or at default airports?  I had this problem at Add On scenery airports like KLGA and KMIA after 2 hour or so long flights, and the only solution I found was lowering scenery settings,

Thanks for your prompt responce. No this is with default scenery. I don't think its a "not enough horse power" kind of thing because I am not having any frame rate issues.

While it may not be a "horse-power" issue, it may be an issue with your graphics card and/or your RAM amount. Answer these three questions and I'll be able to help you further.

What RAM speed/ how much RAM do you have?

What video card do you run and how much video memory does it have?

Also, how high of settings do you run FSX on? (max, med, min?)

Please let me know.

EDIT: My apologies, you did sign your name under the "about me" section which I believe qualifies as signing your name.

Ram - 16GB not sure how to find the speed

i7 processor

Nvidia Geforce GTX 760

I run them on High

I never had a problem with graphics until I installed the 777 (I am by no way ripping on the T7, it's an incredible aircraft) just not sure why my airport scenery is going away.

I have read some things similar to this somewhere but I can't find it now. I have found something about HIGHMEMFIX 1 in the fsx.cfg but when I finally found my CFG I didn't see HIGHMEMFIX, not sure if that is something I should be looking at.

Side note: my landing and taxi lights will not show up sometimes after a long flight.

PS Yes I was trying to find where I can put my name in the signature under my profile but I can't find it.

You do have capable hardware in terms of graphics, so I'm not sure I'm understanding your issue.

Add HIGHMEMFIX=1 under the [GRAPHICS] section of your FSX.CFG, see if that helps.

Well I just did a long four hour flight and it looks like that might have fixed it. If I find I still have problems with it then I will go back to the drawing boards.
