February 18, 201412 yr Commercial Member Hi there,I have installed the first two disks of Fsx Gold Edition,fly Oshkosh,then Friday harbor for 30 minutes.I then insert disk 3 Acceleration and I get a Fatal error occurred,if I uninstall Acceleration all is fine,this is what I got from the event viewer, Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0455e2c4 Faulting process id: 0xf8c Faulting application start time: 0x01cf2c4222904764 Faulting application path: C:\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: 63e44f10-9835-11e3-b3b1-f46d0414471e Any help with a fix will be much appreciated,thank you for your time.
February 18, 201412 yr There is not enough information in your event viewer report that can identify the problem. I'm hoping you did not install SP2 somewhere. That will cause these types of crashes. Your only solution is to completely uninstall/reinstall. I would use the following uninstall/reinstall guide as you have to make sure you remove everything before reinstalling - http://support.precisionmanuals.com/KB/a87/how-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-fsx.aspx. I have seen an issue with starting up FSX after Acceleration is installed when one has a FS Dreamteam, BluePrint airport installed.
