Installing FSX Aircraft

Featured Replies

I am having trouble installing new aircraft to my Microsoft Flight X. The problem is I don't no where I'm supposed to unzip the files and what to do once they are unzipped. Whatever I do it is wrong because when I start the simulation I never see the new aircraft I have tried to install. This also happens when trying to install AI aircraft too.

Can anyone help please or point me in the right direction.

Philip

Each aircraft has to have six main components.

A model folder

A panel folder

A sound folder

A texture folder

An .air file

An aircraft.cfg file.

You will find all of these in any download.

Normally, you will find them together inside a folder named

after the aircraft.

Unzip your downloaded aircraft to a location of your choice outside FSX

and find the folder which contains all the files listed above.

Move this folder into your FSX\Simobjects\Airplanes folder.
