March 15, 201412 yr Hi All,I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. My son wanted me to build an airport for him (He's 10).I can use ADE9 to make the airport itself, no probs, and i've figured out how to flatten the area and make exclusions (again with ADE9).But how do i make (I'm not sure what its called) the area that the airport is built on. Stock and add on airports have (in most cases) a green grass like area (polygon??) that everything is built onto. It appears to mask the underlying FS9 ground textures.Any help please??Peter
March 15, 201412 yr Hi Peter, Look up SBuilder, that's one of the tools you can use to make polygons (excludes, airport boundary's), vector stuff (roads, streams, etc), and landclass. I've "thrown together" a few airports, it's not my strong point but I find it immensly satisfying, if frightneningly time consuming... Hope this helps, Ian
March 16, 201412 yr Author Hi Ian, Time is one thing I have nowadays (disabled :( ), so I'll look into Sbuilder, was hoping you could do it with ADE?? Peter
March 16, 201412 yr Peter I can't offer any help on this as my technical skills with things like this are non existent, but what a great thing to be doing, and how awesome that you and your son can both enjoy this hobby of ours! What airport are you making out of interest? A real world one, or something fictitious?
March 16, 201412 yr Author He wants an airport named after him in the back garden, that he can fly a 747 from ....... Hmmm time the flatten the town and exclude all the buildings then!! Need room for Benjamin International!!! I'm sure they won't mind :| Peter
