March 16, 201412 yr I tried doing a comparison with FTX Global and Vector installed. I loaded up my aircraft in P3D and started at PHKO on the Big Island of Hawaii during dawn/dusk/night and took notice of the night lighting, it looks very sparse compared to what I saw in FSX. I have the autogen sliders set all on max. Does anyone know why the night lighting in P3D with FTX Global is much sparser and doesn't look as good as it does in FSX under the same conditions? I also notice that the night light seem to turn on much later for dusk setting in P3D vs FSX. And the lights turn off much sooner when setting it to dawn. I like how the overall night lighting appears in FSX better and they seem to look more dramatic since you can still see the night lights while there is still some sunlight in the sky. With P3D it seems like the lights only come on near pure darkness only.
