FSX CTD when starting with event name: CLR20r3 ?

Featured Replies

This started happening a few days ago and then again today...

Seems real sporatic and does not make any sense why it occurs.

Note: When fyling, I have no CTD's and can fly for hours.. This only occurs rarely when starting FSX.

Anyone have any ideas???

This usually happens when FSX cannot find a component of a flight that it is trying to load up at startup.  Did you rename your Fsx.cfg, and then restart FSX and let the config rebuild?  This usually fixes problems with flights as your default flight might have gotten corrupted.

Hello Firehawk:

Thanks for the sugesstion!

Update:

Rebuilding the FSX.cfg seems to have fixed the problem.

If it comes back again, I will re-install the Fixer, as I noticed it gives an option to leave in place and repair the Microsoft redistributable code during installation!

P.S. I checked my Windows updates and got a bunch of them... Fingers crossed.. :-)
