Check out this outstanding training film on YouTube. Do a search for "uncrating and field assembly of the P-47 thunderbolt fighter 1944" Truly a testament to American ingenuity. No heavy equipment required. All that was needed was about 50 men to move parts around.  I sure would love to find one of those crates tucked away some place.
