Squawk Box Trouble

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I have decided to give Vatsim a go via squawk box. I have downloaded and followed tutorials on install etc. Squawkbox says I have connected succesfully, It shows the atc channels on the right but I tune active tower channel and nothing happens. I do not hear anything at all from atc, the bottom right says text only and when I hit the PTT button it buzzes. I have calibrated my mic and it says works fine. Any help? Thanks in advance!

Did this happen for all radio frequencies in the list?! Sometimes it may be a server issue where either you or the controller have a problem establishing connection to the voice server.Or the controller was text only for some reason, but that is extremely rare. Oh, you did make the tuned channel active? ;)

Yea, I switched between the tower and atis in active comm 1 and nothing for either. Can't work out where I'm going wrong. Really frustrating!

Ah! I had this issue... The first reason was because I didn't know in the PMDG 777, you had to turn on the Frequency and mics... So, I did that... After a while, It happened to me again but everything was okay.

I had to keep Closing down Sqawkbox and then reopening it and then I could hear them... And then after a while, I decided the best was to reinstall it and restart my PC... Seemed to of worked for me. :)
