March 20, 201412 yr Apart from a small mention in another thread/forum somewhere(can't remember where) nothing has been mentioned of the C195's propensity for needing pretty much full nose down trim in order to fly level. I've had a look at the aircraft.cfg and couldn't see anything that stuck out like a sore thumb. But what do I know! So the questions are: 1. Is this something that Alabeo are aware of? 2. Will something be done to sort it out? 3. Is this behaviour normal/correct? 3. If 'Yes' to 3, ignore 1 and 2. Be nice, Ron The World is divided into two groups. March 25, 201412 yr I think I've figured it out. Hey Ron! Please let me know (pretty please) what you worked out? I have found the same issue!! S*#T load of nose down trim to keep her level..... Kind regards. Tim...
March 25, 201412 yr Author Ahah! Someone IS interested in my theory. I think Alabeo have simply got the animation of the trim wheel wrong. I found out that if you trim it for take off about 4 divisions down from maximum, then ignore it's position it feels right. First, it doesn't leap off the runway within 20 yards and also it does behave like a 'homesick angel'. nose down trim continues to work after you've hit the animation's buffers. I like this plane more and more and I've learnt to accept the anomaly The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

August 17, 201411 yr Hey Ron. Will you explain in a little more detail what you mean by '4 divisions down from max" . Thanks Stoney.
August 17, 201411 yr Author That's not Stoney of LFS fame is it? To tell the truth I haven't flown the C195 for yonks. B) I probably meant trim wheel indicator should be four sections down from maximum up (or could be down) trim. I'll have to go fly it again to refresh what is left of my memory! Experiment.
