Okay so I just bought the ssj100 and I have had many problems with it. At first it caused x plane to crash when I tried to open it but now it does not let me turn on the ground. I put the switch thong on ground but my joystick that I have does not turn the wheel so I had to set one of the throttle controls to turn the wheel but even when I did that the wheel locked up randomly and I would have to brake to be able to turn again. Do I need rudder pedals? I hope you can help

You should look for a button near the gear lever (don't remember exactly the location don't use it for so long) to activate nose wheel steering

But can i use my yoke to steer even if i activate nose wheel steering?

You need to use the rudder.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 for X plane is far from what the real deal is. And as with Russian planes, you must read manual from cover to end before entering cockpit.

Can you give some more details on this?

Obviously the X-Plane SSJ 100 is simplified in the systems and it lacks a FMC (although UFMC has a profile that works fine). On the other hand, the cockpit "looks" like I've seen on SSJ100 photos, and it is just an enjoyable plane :)

Indeed, the cockpit is brilliant. So is the rest of the modelling of salon. But FMC is the heart of a modern airliner, it has a faked one, and FMC is what commands your entire plane, all it's systems, navigation, autopilot. It's not an old plane like a Tu-154 or 727 where you control these things yourself.

It's really a dealbraker... also, the SSJ100 was released earlier than the real superjet entered service, the information on it's dynamics, engine, behaviour, systems, simply wasn't released yet. The airplane is too new, things like this is why we haven't seen let's say PMDG A380 yet. (Even though PMDG is clearly a Boeing fan).

I like the airplane, it's fun to fly, but I also need the complexity. If you don't care for the plane to be a true Russian replica, and just want to have a taste of modern Russian aviation, and wants a good flight model, then I could easily very heavily recommend this airplane.
