March 27, 201412 yr Hi Guys Flying along the east coast of Italy I noticed some strange goings on in the water: Issue "A" - a random outline of something in the water. Issue "B" - random "squares" of tropical type water in a large body of "normal" water Issue "C" - strange "banks" of odd coloured water patches. At first I thought this was cloud reflection but it's far too uniform and doesn't follow the pattern of clouds I see in the sky.... Anyone encountered any of these issues? Thanks
March 28, 201412 yr FS seems to have its' own landclass for water textures. With certain texture addons like AS2012, REX, etc. these can really stand out. For instance take a trip to KTPA, head directly south and follow the bay out to the Gulf of Mexico, you can see the textures blocked off very clearly. I can only assume you're using a texture addon that adds different water textures for different areas near coastlines. In my experience if there is a known shallow depth area these textures are displayed in the settings you have in your texture addon. For example for a certain depth if they're set to a 'tropical coral reef' setting, then those are the ones that will be displayed, no matter where you are. You'd have to confirm your settings to verify. Now if you're not running a texture addon and just default FSX, box set that's what's going on. Regards,Kyle
