Depends on the charts and who creates them.US printed charts will typically not be printed on metric paper, while most others will be (probably A2 or A1 size paper).

SID/STAR charts are not to scale. Says so right on the chart.Matt

Approach plates are A5, enroute charts about A3 and VFR charts about A2 size. Look those up on Google to see what the actual sizes are.
