Thank you guys! It's the alps, over Switzerland (near LSZH and LSGG). OSM and alpilotx's HD mesh v2 scenery combined looks really convincing, right? ;-)

I honestly don't know about its Linux compatibility! I took a quick look at Peter's website, but couldn't find any information about it.

Maybe it's a good idea to contact him directly before you buy: peter@petersaircraft.com

He offers a quick and very nice support!
