April 10, 201412 yr Hey guys hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I am going to preface this question with the following statement, my FSX setup works fine in Windows 7.Here is the issue. I have Windows 8.1 with the 4-9 update installed, I have a primary monitor that runs at 1920x1080 and a secondary that runs at 1280x1024. I have them set correctly in the FSX setup, (verified in the FSX.cfg file as 0.0 and 0.1) but when I start FSX in fullscreen the main display (1920x1080) doesn't fill the whole screen, only about the 1280x1024 of the primary is displayed while the secondary is fine. If I set both screen resolutions to the same thing (1280x1024 because the secondary will not match the primary resolution it works, but only at 1280x1024. My question is, is there a way to have FSX in Windows 8.1 recognize the different resolutions? As I said the same hardware in Windows 7 works without issue. This is in full screen mode that the issue presents itself.Thanks.

July 13, 201510 yr Author Okay, I know this is dated, but I am back with the same issue, I gave up on Windows 8.1 but Now with the impending 10 release, I am seeing the same behavior in 10 that I saw in 8.1. Here are the specs. PC: CPU Intel 4790K VC Asus 970 Stix 32 Gigs Ram Dedicated SSD of OS and one for FSX Monitors: 3 24 inch spanned Via Nividia Surround (5870x1080) 1 24 Inch Touch Panel (1920x1080) Issue, FSX will not span the 5870x1080 monitor with the touch screen panel enabled, it will only use a single of the three monitors. (This is in Full screen) In Windowed mode it works. If the touch Screen is disabled the spanning works, but that eliminates the ability to use my touch screen for secondary panels. Not sure if a fix for this issue was ever found, but any help would be great. Thanks.
July 13, 201510 yr Author I have to ask, if it works in Windowed, why not just use that? Because I'm taking a 10FPS hit in Windowed mode.
July 13, 201510 yr Because I'm taking a 10FPS hit in Windowed mode. Even with multi display setting in nVidia inspector? That setting solved all my issues with windowed/full screen mode. Pawel Grochowski
