How do you use it?

Featured Replies

Do you start OPUSFX first, then start P3D? Or vice versa? Everytime I start OPUS first, nothing is in the add-on menu bar. if I start OPUS at the UI screen, the sim hangs. A little advice please.

Thanks

There was a problem with P3D to do with handling its SimConnect links. The solution then was to run P3D first and load the flight and only then run OpusFSX. I thought LM had fixed the problem with their SimConnect handling, if so P3D v2.2 should be OK. But loading the flight might be safest.

2.2 is not okay. That's the way I've been running it, but it is a little annoying having to alt tab out of the program in order to use it.

Thanks for your response!

Nothing I can do, its the SimConnect handling inside the sim code that's the problem and I have no control over that. You could try reinstalling SimConnect using our supplied msi, but if this is the same P3D problem then its not going to change P3D. As far as Opus is concerned it just tries to connect just as it does with any sim or P3D version, that's all any external program can do. There's nothing our software can do to change how P3D responds to the SimConnect request. If you get in the habit of loading the flight before running the SimConnect program's then all should be OK.

Best report your problem to Lockheed Martin explaining the SimConnect problems and symptoms, but try reinstalling SimConnect first.
