April 14, 201412 yr Hello all, lapsed member here. I have enjoyed MSFS (FS9 and FSX) for along time and have recently acquired a Mac. There are lots of interesting vids on youtube suggesting an impressive OTB experience with XP10, but am deeply aware of how long you can spend tuning your system. My first Mac is 27inch , 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz 8GB (two 4GB) memory 1TB hard drive1 NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M with 1GB video memory seperate DVD drive Before I pull the trigger on XP10, are the above specs enough to support decent FPS and no blurries? Any responses appreciated.
April 14, 201412 yr Is that a laptop ? I don't think that video card is going to cut it. You will have to lower your settings in the rendering menu to get descent frame rates. Its not going to look pretty with low settings. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
April 14, 201412 yr Commercial Member I have a 27" iMac (2010 model) with an i7 chip but only 512 MB of RAM. I think you'll be delighted with how it performs. Fermin Fernandez FSWidgets Developer Melbourne, Australia (UTC+10)
April 14, 201412 yr Download the Demo of X-Plane and see if will work ok for you. http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/x-plane_10_demo/ The demo is restricted to the area around KSEA and has a time limit of 15 minutes for each session. That 1 GB on the video card seems a bit shy to me, but then again TweakFS has it running fine.
