February 10, 200521 yr This I especially recommend for all of those who are so quick to point out the errors and shortcomings of FS9. Yes, they are there, that cannot be denied. But when you look back over the last twenty-five years . . . whew!! We've come a LONG way.Marcus Thompson does an outstanding job of showing us just how much with his very well-made video "FlightSim History - A Video Snapshot"I highly recommend downloading and watching it. Well choreographed and an excellent music score. Get it from the Avsim library at:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...misc&DLID=61135Thank you Marcus, for reminding me.P.S. Would love to have that music, can you please enlighten me to a name and source?Best wishes!Heather
February 11, 200521 yr Marcus,Thanks for taking the time to build the file, and AVSIM thanks for posting. My first venture into flight simulation was Microsoft's 1986 version of its software. An 8088 computer with a 40 meg hard drive, 64K of RAM, and a RGB monitor ($3,000). The game came on a single 5 1/4 floppy diskette and I believe you could fly only the Chicago, Boston, New York and Seattle areas.ThanksTom
