February 14, 200521 yr Nice. I have Flight Sim Model's version of this aircraft and it's really fun to fly. This one looks a lot better so it's probably worth getting. Can't find anything about it on the Golden Eagles site though...? -
February 14, 200521 yr The page is posted in the forums.. or heres the direct linkhttp://windrfters.com/qcpage.htm

February 14, 200521 yr Found it, and sent the money anyway so I can get it as soon as possible once it's officially released on the site.I have no doubht that this will be another quality release :) -
February 14, 200521 yr "I have no doubt that this will be another quality release"......yep, PayPal make way, here I come...again! ;)IMHO anything by Lynn and Bill is worth purchasing 'sight unseen' without the need to wait for a review. I have never been disappointed and always eagerly await each new release. This is creative and entertaining flight simming as it was meant to be.Mike
February 14, 200521 yr sent the money by Paypal as soon as i saw the news here, got all of the Custom Classics series. they eventually all become freeware but they are well good enough for the small amount of money the Lyon's ask so i willingly get them when they first come out as pauware.
February 14, 200521 yr I have it now and it's great :)Comes with lots of models: classic (as it originally looked in the 80's), contemporary (slightly more modern, streamlined look), clipped wing (higher wing loading, more fun) as well as versions with skis and floats. The models are all very nicely done. Also comes with a custom GPS.The engine sound seemed a bit quiet but that's nothing major. It will also take a while to get used to the trimming technique - apparently the real one is trimmed using flapperons and this is assigned to the flaps up and flaps down commands in FS9. I'll probably end up using a combination of the normal trim and the flaps commands. Not totally real but it's hard to "trim" accurately using the flaps in FS9.I'd recommend this one over the one by Flight Sim Models. The FSM version isn't bad, but this one just feels more up to date and it's actually a little cheaper as well. Also comes with a nice little sceenry with lots of other Challengers and animals (!) around :-lol Will put up some shots later today probably. -
February 14, 200521 yr I got into (real) Challengers when the Cessna I was in became just a bit too expensive for something that is just a hobby - I even built my own plane, which was a lot of fun (took 850 hours :(). Since then, I've even done trips of over 1000 miles in it. Very comfortable, heated cabin, GPS equiped, navcom radio, great on skis in the winter. Cruises at 80 mph (not knots), stalls at 26 mph when just one person on board, you can land them just about anywhere. Nice to have a version for the sim! Here's just a couple of pics - one of my little aircraft (which I've posted before), plus a shot of the Challenger fly-in we had two weekends ago, landing on the Ottawa river - 36 aircraft showed up!:)Mike F.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/106796.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/106797.jpg
