February 16, 200521 yr Maule M7-260 Amphibian Roll sounds in the amphib are present when at a standstill or even when "cold and dark". After fooling with it this morning, I discovered it is a glitch in the amphib's sound.cfg (...Maule M7-260 soundssound.2) Open the sound.2 folder and then it's sound.cfgScroll down to: [GROUND_ROLL]filename=mrollflags=125218viewpoint=1minimum_volume=6000 //80maximum_rate=1.8link=GROUND_ROLL1 That will fix it up!! No more constant roll sounds when sitting still and/or at shutdown, but they do kick in when you are moving. The Maule Amphib doesn't have touchdown sounds either. The little "hop and squeal" sounds. It doesn't really need them, especially if most of your flying is at dirt strips and water. If you do want to add them in, just add these sections in right above the [GROUND_ROLL] section: [left_TOUCHDOWN]filename=cmtouch1, cmtouch2, cmtouch3 [right_TOUCHDOWN]filename=cmtouch4, cmtouch5, cmtouch6 Enjoy!!
February 16, 200521 yr Author Hi Brent,Sometimes these little touches make all the difference :)Thanks!Mike
March 7, 200521 yr Thanks for the tip. This was annoying me too so to fix it I just copied and pasted the equivalent section from the sound.cfg of John Woodward's Beaver float version and this inserted the 6000 number.By the way does the this Maule have an autopilot? I notice from Maule's website that this an opional extra if you buy one but I can't find one in the FS9 version although there is a nav/gps switch. However FSnavigator seems to think there is an autopilot.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
March 7, 200521 yr I read the Info on the update and it said that there was a "rudder trim" and "Avionics master switch" in the update. I haven't found either one. Also doesn't seem to be an ADF. Has anyone found any of them yet?
