June 13, 201411 yr Author I'd be interested to see if Michael has any more ideas. I would be able to test stuff out but I don't know if doing anything without him there would solve much. It is unfortunately a real headache but I'm persisting as it is a great tool,
June 14, 201411 yr Well it honestly the issue lies on your friends side and if the Desk Pilot applications are connecting then its not a firewall or port issue. If the DP Compatibility Tester reads out the success message then its not the flight simulator. All in all that tells me straight up that your friends do not have PMDG's 737 NGX SP1c installed. Without it the aircraft will not send data to the applications period. To confirm the correct aircraft version is installed, open control panel and uninstall programs, search for PMDG 737 8900 NGX and check the product version. It should be 1.00.3219. Now i would like you and your friends to check the product version. Michael Harders
June 14, 201411 yr Well... the problem is that we have 100% confirmed that we have Patch and PMDG.ini correct. I'll send you my log file. June 14, 201411 yr DarrianCZE, Since we tested it together the other day (both ways) and we had no issues. It comes back to the problem being on your friends side. Can you and hmmc97 create a test session between yourself's to see if the issue arises? Also what is your friends aircraft version? 1.00.3219? Michael Harders
June 14, 201411 yr Yep, we will. But I have another idea. Can it be related to the liveries? We were trying it in the default livery... but my friend and I were testing it inside a custom livery. Jan Podlipsky
June 14, 201411 yr Author I should also note that the menu works while I'm connected, just not the cockpit actions. ive updated fsuipc and will test
June 15, 201411 yr Yep, we will. But I have another idea. Can it be related to the liveries? We were trying it in the default livery... but my friend and I were testing it inside a custom livery. I don't think a custom livery will cause this because they all use the same ".air file" but you never know.. Can you try the default -800 WL livery and see if it still happens? Michael Harders
June 16, 201411 yr Author Confirmed the issue on my end:Desk Pilot is not capturing my actions from the NGX. I set up the system on my laptop, tried both Captain and FO. My actions I send off my laptop as the captain show on the NGX, but swap the two over and any action that I give to the faulting one does not go across. I recently relocated my FSX folder over to another drive and haven't had an issue yet (I have followed a guide), so don't know if that has any impact. The faulting computer is not broadcasting any data. I will try reinstalling the NGX and hopefully that will fix it. Hope this helps - let me know if there's anything else I can try, but it is not a firewall issue. Cheers.
June 16, 201411 yr Author Seems to be working after:- A reinstallation of the NGX- FSX Registry CleanerHopefully it will stay like that
September 13, 201411 yr So I have reinstalled the NGX from scratch and it's still not working. I am really tired of this. Could you please oversee me and my friend while trying to connect? Jan Podlipsky
