FSX doesn't recognize my GPU in DX10

Featured Replies

I know in P3D this is just a display bug - it is in fact running on the nVidia card even though it only shows Intel. Perhaps this is the same issue with DX10 in FSX? Do you notice a huge drop in performance? Or does it feel the same (or better) than DX9?

Not so huge drops in perfomance but it feels almost same. Yes i agree  fsx doesn't recognize it when dx10 mode is active, and also at the same time geforce experience shows a running program where hidden icons. I dont know which one is saying right. Thanks for your interest.

If it was using onboard you would notice a massive drop in performance. You can use something like nVidia Inspector to monitor the graphics card temps and usage. Shouldn't be too hard to work out if it's using the onboard or GeForce.
