Featured Replies

Hi there,

So i was looking at Airliners.net today and stumbled accross a few photos of the Virgin Australia flight deck, and noticed that the Checklist on the yoke is alot different. I had a look online and saw other people had managed to desgin there own, Could some one please give me a heads up on how to design it ?

Jack,

the checklist is located in a file named PMDG_NGX_VC_Checklist.dds . You can alter that file – respectively start from scratch –  and recreate the checklist from Virgin Australia. The easiest way is to write the text and create an alpha channel accordingly highlighting the words. You can also create a custom background, the alpha channel needs to have the same framework then.

The toughest part is getting the trapeze right but you can use PMDG's version as a reference.

The file is not part of the paintkit but you can find it here: Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800NGX\texture.vc\

Save the file in the folder of the repaint you want to have the checklist in. Only this repaint will have the checklist then. Also check the VC checklist option in the a/c configuration.

Good luck!
