Aerosoft Airports & P3D v2.2

Featured Replies

I just renamed the file ViMaCoreX.dll in the Vistamare to something else. However, at times when installing a new old Aerosoft airport and I forget to delete that file, my P3D crashes on start up.

Of course I could also remove the lines pertaining to this file in DLL.XML but I was too lazy to do that each time again.

One thing that might solve this problem is to instead disable ViMaCoreX.dll in dll.xml like this. At least in my case it doesn't seem installing other Aerosoft airports will change this and I guess that is because the installation program only checks for the existence of this entry and not the value of the Disabled parameter which as seen below is set to 'True' in my case meaning it will never be loaded.

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>VistaMare Core</Name>
<Disabled>True</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>VistaMare\ViMaCoreX.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>

 I also had P3D crash after installing an AeroSoft Airport, EHAM.  I couldn't fix it.  By chance I read in the Estonia Migration Tool manual that when having issues after an install to stop migration tool then restart it.  I did so and after reinitializing received a messsage from the migration tool that it had found an incompatible file, the EHAM traffic dll and removed it.  That cured the problem and EHAM in all its detail works fine.
