Procedure Entry Point problems

Featured Replies

I've just purchased the DX10 scenery fixer program and downloaded it to my desktop.  This resulted in the program's ".exe" file appearing on the desktop as advertised.  Upon double-clicking on the .exe file, I get the following message in a dialog box:

"The procedure entry point SHGetStockIconInfo could not be located in the dynamic link library SHELL32.dll."

I am dead in the water.

I was attempting to open this in the system operating drive (E).  FSX is in (Z) drive.  Should I have sent the download to the drive where FSX is located and opened it there?

System Profile:

Windows XP Pro Version 2002 SP3

AMD Phenom II X4 940 processor

3.01 GHz, 3.25GB RAM

Picked up the program because of a lock-up and CTD while flying Ants Airplanes' T-28A donationware over terrain north of Phoenix, AZ.  All sliders on the sim are set to the right with the exception of the cloud draw distance, which is set at 60  mi.  Advice on a good forum said this program would go a long way toward straightening this out.

Sure would appreciate a try at figuring this out.

Sorry but the problem is your Os as you have windows xp... Dx10 was never ever released for xp it's only on vista upwards and so that is what dx10 scenery fixer is built for. It's listed as a requirement on the purchase page.

I would seriously (regardless of dx10) consider upgrading to windows 7 now xp is out of support ...
