I have a tech question regarding ssd 1 TB disc

my ssd disc is almost full and I need another 1tb extension for my photografic scenery within x-plane.

some people say if you connect both as one disc then it will run slower at the time due to windows  and I should obtain for 2tb ssd (if there is any)

is that statement true?

My thought would be to put the two 1 TBs on a raid 0 and get max speed and full space out of them. Any other raid level will not allow (other than JBOD) you to gain you max space.
