Regarding fsx setting reset

Featured Replies

Recently, I have faced a problem of extremely low fps on only some sceneries. And I found that everytime when the FSX is lag (only 7-8fps), it will be restored to very smooth state (~32fps) if I enter setting page on top menu bar then resume to flight. As a result, I wonder if there are some display settings have been reset or changed when I click into the setting page, and made my fsx become smooth IMMEDIATELY.

Does anyone knows what settings in the display (e.g texture_max_load) will be restored when setting page is entered?

Hello,

When you open the settings screen, FSX will indeed reset the TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD to 1024 if it had been set to a higher value previously. The same applies to the LOD_radius, which will be reset to 4.5.
