  2. I just perform a test, flying from RKSI back to VHHH. The arrival SID/STARS is not entered until descent, so far the vas is VERY STABLE without continuously increasing. At past. I was used to input SID/STARS before departure from the origin, and oom always occured then. BUT NOW, I notice vas will be very stable if SID/STAR is not entered/chosen during crusing stage of the flight yet ... As shown above, I havent chosen arrival star for VHHH, so vas usage is just 2.2GB, JUST 100MB more than that when initial climb above RKSI. At the past in the same position (waypoint), the vas would be around 2.9-3.1GB! Sorry for my bad English, hope you can understand
  3. Try to enter arrival SID/STAR on fmc earlier...Some comments above in this post mentioned the possibility of entering problematic approach in fmc leading vas leakage during cruise.
  4. When did you input arrival SID/STAR into fmc? I suspect that entering arrival infomation just before descent helps solve oom which may associate with AIRAC Cycle...
  5. ABBEY3A for 07L I will be grateful if you could help me test the scenario using PMDG 777, AIRAC Cycle 1403 and Taxi2Gate VHHH In my case, OOM ONLY occurs when VHHH is the destination of the flight. That means, if I depart from VHHH, oom will NOT occur, but when I approach VHHH, oom occurs.
  6. glad to know that I am not the only one having oom issue which maybe associated with AIRAC cycle. My case is a little bit different, oom always occurs while approaching VHHH, and I found that vas was continuously leaking while cruising, although I have tried everything I can do like lowering graphic settings, as do you guys. The strangest thing is that Vas is very stable while cruising when I fly from VHHH to other places...but not the opposite....
  7. I have heard some people claiming that setying "Antialiasing Compatibility (DX1x)" to "BioShock2, BioShock" option allows using what we are used to setting for FSX, but I just tried and nothing works :(
  8. I have the same problem with GTX770 and all the driver versions I have tried before. Should it be the problem of P3D itself?
  9. Haha...Actually I am not using DX10, I dont even know how to get it work. In my FSX, DX9 is used, and Texture_Max_Load is 2048, however my REX4 Textures are set to 512 and 1024... Do you mean selecting FXAA in P3D in-game setting?
  10. I see...thanks for everyone's comments and recommendations. In fact, I really want to switch to P3D as it saves much time of tweaking stuff, but sadly in my point of view the graphic is far from my expectation. I would say I would use both FSX and P3D depending on types of flight. Actually I didnt do anything on DX10 Preview...Do you mean that my graphic doesnt match with the settings?
  11. Without doubt, DSR provides a A LITTLE BIT BETTER (NOT THE BEST) effect of antialiasing, but it is still far from my expectation comparing with FSX's... I really want to switch from FSX to P3D, but P3D's antialiasing is still not really good...
  12. Thanks gboz! After checking the box, the anti-aliasing is a little bit better now. I have tried servel combinations of settings including your recommendation. Unfortunately, the effect is still not as good as FSX...In-game 4xMSAA with NI 4xSS is still far from satisfactory, but performace when SGSS is enabled is, as you mentioned, BAD! Are there any recommendation? Just like FSX, I can get a very good anti-aliasing effect without performance dropping a lot... Do you mean "Antialiasing - Mode" ? I cant see any difference after I set "Enhance the application setting". :(
  13. OK...I just tried to set my desktop resolution to DSR, still not effect so I have pressed ALT+ENTER twice... No, FXAA is DISABLED
  14. When DSR was enabled, I chose the highest available resoultion in P3D display settings, then press ALT+Enter twice in order to make DSR effective, however there was still no actual anti-aliasing effect I could see
  15. Having referred Steve's comments on this post, I have tried everything I can do for anti-aliasing, but it doesnt do the trick... http://forum.avsim.net/topic/462722-really-bad-antialising-in-p3d-25v/ Firstly, I have selected P3D profile in NVIDIA Control Panel, restored and applied it. Secondly, I made a change there in order to create a new profile, aniso mode to 16x in my case. Thirdly, I got into Nvidia Inspector, loaded p3d profile, chose from the "Antialiasing - Transparency Supersampling" settings according to my p3d perferred setting (in-game 4xMSAA; NI 4xSGSS) AND HERE IS THE RESULTS. CASE 1 : in-game 4xMSAA + NI 4xSS + CP Aniso 16X CASE 2 : in-game 4xMSAA + NI 4xSGSS + CP Aniso 16X CASE 3 : in-game 4xMSAA + NI 4xSGSS + CP Aniso 16X + DSR2.0x CASE 3 : in-game 4xMSAA + NI 4xSGSS + CP Aniso 16X + DSR4.0x As you can see from the above screen captures, there is no actual effect of anti-aliasing...AND here is my FSX perfect anti-aliasing effect. Can anyone help me to find out what I have missed??? Some people claimed that DSR is largely beneficial for anti-aliasing effect, but I cannot notice at all...Normally, if DSR factors are set, the words will become extremely small, but in my case there are no changes...I suspected that it is the problem of my graphics driver, so I have tried both 347.88 and 347.52 version, but they both dont have any effects I can see
  16. I have already done this, but the problem has not been solved
  17. Altough I set ivao.cfg, the box still turned red when B77w is typed... I am also considering to use vPilot, but I have a few concerns. Comparing quality of aircraft models, let's say both are matching with IVAO_MTL, is there any difference between using vPilot and using FSINN? Like dynamic lights, fluency of online aircraft movement. Can vPilot correctly display B77W / B77L / B77F without extra settings? Can vPilot connect bluetooth headset with microphone as input device?
  18. Recently I am facing the problem of flying 300er with fsinn online. I know that here is the place of many people flying online with pmdg 777-300er so I would like to ask the question here. We all know that 777-300er should be "B77W" and 200lr should be "B77L", altough many people on Vatsim still register their aircraft as B772 and B773 wrongly. However, when I tried to register my 300er as "B77W", the box immediately turned red which means "B77W" cannot be identified by fsinn. On the other hand, if I type "B773" or "B772", there will not be any problem of identification of the aircraft. So I want to ask you guys that which code, B77W or B773, should I type into FSINN when using 777-300ER. I want every people on vatsim can correctly see my plane (not any plane like cessna to replace my original 300er aircraft or displaying ZZZZ), also I want that I can display other people' 777-300er correctly if they register as "B77W"
  19. Here is the letter I opened a ticket and sent to pmdg, just want to state the problem to you guys and see if someone can help me  I would like to ask about the new wind data link function of SP1. I am facing problems that the wind data loaded is different from active sky next data, and some waypoints data are totally the same. In order to use this awesome new function, there is a few things I have done. a. Check the box "Auto load simulator flight plan" in Active Sky Next b. FMC Simulation setting, "CREATE AND LOAD TO FSX" And my steps of preflight are listed as follows. 1. Export RTE flight plan from Aivlasoft EFB and save into PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS\777 2. In the FMC, enter origin and destination, then click route data request, the route can be successfully loaded 3. PERF INIT data can also be successfully loaded 4*. When wind data link is ready, go to legs page RTE DATA, click load wind data. *Although it seems that all waypoints have their wind data loaded, some of them are totally the same. For example, the wind of FL290 of waypoint 1,2 and 3 are the same. Then I wonder if they are really the same and dont have any problem, so I go to Active Sky Next to check the wind data. However, what have been shown in Active Sky Next is different from what have been loaded into FMC. For example, FMC shows that FL290 at waypoint 1 has 290@7kts wind when asn shows that 320@8kts. I found that the wind data in the wx file exported automatically to PMDG 777 folder is not the same as what are shown in active sky next flight plan page, which causing my pmdg 777 cannot receive actual wind data. My PMDG777 has created a wx.pln for active sky next to load, then the flight plan page of asn can successfully load the route and show the wind data. However, there may be some problems in the file exported by ASN to Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\WX, which the data differs from what is shown in asn flight plan page Also, there is a few things I noticed, 1. There is a WX.PLN file containing route data created in Documents\Flight Simulator X Files by PMDG 2. Flight Plan page of Active Sky Next can automatically load and show the flight plan and waypoints which have been loaded into FMC as route 3. There is a WX file (XXXXYYYY.WX) created and updated automatically, which maybe created by Active Sky Next I have read the manual mentioning using any FSX weather theme will cause all the waypoint wind data corresponded. However, I am using active sky next so the problem should not exist. A few screen capture is attached in order to help you to understand my problem. It is not difficult to see that the wind data loaded into FMC and that in active sky next are different. I look forward to receiving your reply so that I can use this awesome data link function!
  20. I would like to ask if the FSX option “Disable turbulence and thermal effects on aircraft” should be really disabled. If I check the option, which means to disable fsx-made turbulence, will I still get the realistic turbulence effects during the flight if I am using Active Sky Next? If I expect wing flex, turbulence and other realistic weather effects on the aircraft, should I still check this options? Also, the official website mentions that Hotfix 5 and B5227 Update have been released. Is the Full Version / Trial installer link provided in the download page ( http://usa4.hifisim.com/ASNext_FSX_HF5.zip) up-to-date and at version B5227 that supports pmdg 777 weather radar? I just install the exe, then open asn, the version number still seems to be B5226.
  21. Recently, I have faced a problem of extremely low fps on only some sceneries. And I found that everytime when the FSX is lag (only 7-8fps), it will be restored to very smooth state (~32fps) if I enter setting page on top menu bar then resume to flight. As a result, I wonder if there are some display settings have been reset or changed when I click into the setting page, and made my fsx become smooth IMMEDIATELY. Does anyone knows what settings in the display (e.g texture_max_load) will be restored when setting page is entered?
  22. Just try to imagine that glideslope is a slide directing you to the runway, if you are not "seating" on the slide, like being below the slide, the glideslope warning will come to exsistance, what you should do is to raise the nose, reduce the rate of descent to follow the glideslope which you can see in PFD
  23. I would like to reinstall my windows completely getting everything in harddisk removed. Is there anything that I should do to ensure that the reinstallation progress will not affect the license registration limit of my Active Sky Next, like using official key reset tool? (My current system has registered Active Sky Next)
  24. I am sorry to hear about that... May I know how can I download the previous sounds which cannot be downloaded through mediafire now? It seems that many links of mediafire are unavailable
  25. Some posts mentioned that if we want to see wing flex while using opusfsx as weather engine, we should leave the option in fsx "DISABLE turbulence and thermal effects on the aircraft" UNTICKED, while the other posts also claimed that we should tick it to disable the effects from FSX as opusfsx can create its own wing flex and turbulence effects if opusfsx is set to INCLUDE WING FLEX DATA. just want to ensure if opusfsx can work on wing flex effect itself while the option in fsx "DISABLE turbulence and thermal effects on the aircraft" TICKED. I tried to TICKED it IN FSX and SET OPUSFSX TO INCLUDE WING FLEX DATA, but it seemed that the plane is not at all affected by strong wind (~20knots) including no basic shaking, no effect for speed and VS. However, if I leave the FSX option UNTICKED, that mean the turbulence and thermal effects on the aircraft BY FSX IS APPLIED, and also SET OPUSFSX TO INCLUDE WING FLEX DATA, the plane is affected by the wind too much, a little bit over the top, even the wind is only about 8knots. In fact, what should I set for both FSX effect and OPUSFSX option?
